Domestic Violence
The practitioners at the Durham Centre have experience of working with victims of domestic violence and can be of assistance identifying and supporting clients to break free of an abusive environment, including some of the more subtle forms like abuse in the form of ‘psychological abuse’ and ‘controlling behaviour’.
Therapists also have a good working knowledge of the vast systems of support available to clients in what can be a highly charged process of leaving, often with children. This knowledge can go some way in assisting people in what is usually a huge life decision to make
